Betta fish keeping is gaining popularity throughout the world. Hobbyists are keeping varieties of betta species ranging from the original wild breeds to the modern display type of halfmoon bettas. The wide range of varieties with regards to color and finnage was a consequence of domestication. Betta fish is bred for generations to develop new ” pattern ” or sub-species. All this are made possible through selective breeding. Lots are available information online as well as other resources made it possible for a non specialists to breed good strains of betta fish. Thanks to the internet era !

There are lots of discussion forums and groups talking about betta fish too. Today , blogs are gaining steam too. This is also a great way to express your opinion and thoughts about anything.
