Box Turtles As Pets and How To Feed and Water Canaries

Pet Box Turtles

Box turtles make wonderful pets, even for small children. Not necessarily to be handled and picked up and cuddled, but more like something that you can definitely interact with. They like to go outside and go for little strolls, they love to be left outside if you build some sort of little outdoor enclosure, you can let them run around and its fun to sit out there and hand-feed them. They’re definitely not too shy, they have great personalities, they’re all a little bit different and this one I’m particularly attached to because she’s a rescue, and I’ve spent a lot of time with her and we’ve kind of developed a bond that you can’t develop with a whole lot of reptiles, but turtles are definitely one exception. If you want a reptile, but you want that you’re able to interact with and have them interact back with you, you would definitely want to choose a box turtle. They originated in Eastern central and South Western U.S. They also come from Mexico, but not very often. Its mainly in the South West U.S. that they originate from.

Canaries as Pets : How to Feed & Water Canaries?

When you purchase your cage, make sure that it has adequate food and water dishes. You want a dish that is deep enough for your canary to bathe in. Canaries are famous for diving into their water bowls. They love to bathe. With your food dish, make sure you have a covered one with a back on it because canaries are also famous for spitting their food all over your house. They can make quite a mess.

Cuddle Bone

When accessorizing your cage, you also need to make sure you’ve got a cuddle bone for your canary. This is important because it gives them the calcium that they need. It also helps to keep their beak trim down to a good length. If your canary’s beak gets too long, they are going to have a very difficult time trying to eat.

Calcium Block

Another thing that you need to make sure you have is a calcium block. A calcium block provides the same amount of calcium as a cuddle bone. It also helps to take care of the canary’s teeth. With these two, you should have no problem with your canary’s beak. Another important accessory for your bird cage is this 8 in 1 bird protector. It helps keep lice and mites away from your birds. It does this my admitting an odour that kills them which makes them not go near the cage.
