Animals play a vital role in our life and can be wonderful companions to all in the family. The bond that forms between a family and their animals is sometimes difficult for non owners to understand , but for all of us who own animals , we know the fun , joy , and pleasure these faithful companions can bring ...

Many people in all parts of the world enjoy the companionship of pets .Owning and caring for any of these animals does not have to be a difficult or burdensome experience , and most of them do not ask for much - just a simple list of basics such as food , shelter , veterinary care , and , not forgetting our love and care for them. They offer far more in return - teaching us love , providing us friendship and companionship , and improving our emotional and physical health. They provide us with unconditional affection and loyalty.

They help fight depression and loneliness - promoting an interest and meaning in life. Feelings of loneliness and isolation affect people of all ages in modern society , resulting in a number of health problems. Researchers looking into loneliness have found that a companion animal can help alleviate much of this stress. They fulfill a person's need for touch and communication.

They help to reduce stress . Walking with a dog , for instance , helps to smooth nerves and offers instant relaxation. Studies conducted worldwide have shown that the impact of a stressful situation is lesser on owners, especially males, than on those who do not own a pet. For example , dog encourages you to get out and exercise , which is good for stress management. Studies have shown that the simple stroking of a dog or cat , can actually lower heart rate , respiratory rate and blood pressure. Even watching fish in an aquarium creates similar effects. It is both soothing and meditative.

Their role in child development. A number of empirical studies have investigated how children interact with animals. Children can learn the importance of responsibility at an young age by acting as a caretaker for an animal. Tropical fishes are a wonderful start because children can play a large role in caring for them. However, other animals that require more attention, like a dog or cat , can present an excellent opportunity for parent and child to bond while caring for the animal together. Showing children what it means to be responsible for another animal's survival can result in teaching important life lessons such as discipline, patience, kindness and attentiveness.

It is important to understand that owning a pet is not for everyone. They do come with additional work and social responsibilities , which can bring its own stress. However , for most people , the benefits of having any of these animals far outweigh the drawbacks. What they teach us is that to reach out and care for another rewards us with better health and an enriched life. They are more than just a member of the family - they are central to a healthy lifestyle.

An animal gives you something to care for and thus provides some structure for your life. You have to set out the food, visit the vet, clean the cage, empty the litter, and so on. A pet often takes center stage at family gatherings, easing tensions and/or providing an immediate conversational outlet. If a adds joy to your life and makes you feel better or more secure in your home, or provides entertainment and structure, you hardly need scientific proof of the benefits.

Enjoy !
